Forwarding your email to another email address

Application: 

 

This facility will be used to forward a copy of your incoming email to another email address.  You will typically use thisfeature to send all your incoming mail to another email user while you are away.  This facility is also helpful when going away.

You can forward all your email to an email address available at the venue where you will be staying while away.

 

How does it work?

 

When email forwarding is activated on a specific email account it will forward  a copy of all incoming messaged to a pre-defined second email address.  The mail forwarding facility will remain active until it is deleted.  You can use this facility in conjunction with the auto responder function explained in our previous communication. 

 

How?

 

Setup an auto responder message telling your clients that you are away and who will be managing your email while you are away.  Setup a mail forwarder to send all incoming communication to the person who will be dealing with your clients while you are away.  We explain mail forwarding in detail below.

 

 

How to activate email forwarding on your email account?

 

STEP 1:  Go to any pc that has an active internet connection.

STEP 2:  Open any web browser, i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

STEP 3:  Type your domain name followed by /webmail into the address bar and press enter. 

 

 

STEP 4:  The following popup will appear.  Type your email address at the “User name:” field and type your email address Password into the “Password:” field.  Then press enter to enter into the Webmail interface.

You can find this information on your activation certificate. 

 

STEP 5:  The following Screen will appear.  Click on the “Forwarding Options” icon to enter the setup area.

 

 

 

STEP 6:  The following Screen will appear.  Click on the “Forwarding Options” Button as indicated below.  If you have current Mail Forwarders active, they will be listed in the indicated area.  You can delete them by clicking on the relevant link.

 

 

 STEP 7:  The following Screen will appear.  Add the email address you would like to forward your email to in the area provided. Please note:  All email will still be sent to your email address, this option will forward a copy of all your email to the indicated email address.  Any action performed at the indicated forwarding address will not have any effect on the messages sent to your own email address.

 

Remember that the “Forwarding Options” will remain active until you return to this area to delete it. 

Remember to delete your forwarders when they are no longer required.

 

 

STEP 8:  The following message will appear to inform you that you have successfully added your “Forwarding Options”.

 

 

 Done:  You have now successfully setup a mail forwarder on your email account.  You can test it by asking someone to mail you at your email address.  Have a look at the forwarding account to see if that account also has a copy of the email message.
